Chancellor Olaf Scholz visits HENSOLDT in Ulm
2023 kicked off with a very special event for HENSOLDT. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visited the site in Ulm and discussed products and solutions with HENSOLDT employees. He stated: "Here in Ulm we can see how innovative and central components of defence electronics are developed and manufactured. The company HENSOLDT contributes towards Germany being a valued partner in alliance defence".
High-ranking military officials visit HENSOLDT
The German HENSOLDT sites in Ulm and Oberkochen/Aalen were visited by Lieutenant General Frank Leidenberger, Chief Digital Officer of the Bundeswehr IT Service Provider BWI, Lieutenant General Andreas Marlow, Deputy Inspector General of the German Armed Forces, and Vice Admiral Dr. Thomas Daum, Inspector Cyber and Information Space of the German Armed Forces (CIR). On site, they gained valuable insights into the innovative power of HENSOLDT.
HENSOLDT at IDEX in Abu Dhabi
The International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) is the largest defence industry exhibition in the Middle East, focusing on national security and defence equipment. The event is held every two years in Abu Dhabi. In the German Pavilion, HENSOLDT presented its wide range of sensor solutions for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, as well as sensors for enhancing security and operational effectiveness. CEO Thomas Müller and Chief Strategy Officer Celia Pelaz held numerous discussions with HENSOLDT partners on site.
Economic Reception of the CSU at HENSOLDT
More than 80 entrepreneurs followed the joint invitation of Kerstin Schreyer, Member of the Bavarian State Parliament and Chairwoman of the Committee for Economy, Regional Development, Energy, Digitalisation and Media, and Thomas Müller, CEO of HENSOLDT, to a networking event at the premises of HENSOLDT in Taufkirchen. In a keynote speech, the Bavarian Minister of the Interior, Joachim Herrmann, gave an insight into the Bavarian domestic and security policy.
Ground-breaking ceremony for new plant in Oberkochen, Germany
With the new building in Oberkochen, HENSOLDT is responding to the growing demand for high-performance military equipment for the German Armed Forces and NATO members, as well as the increasing demand from manufacturers of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, who purchase high-precision optronic measurement equipment from HENSOLDT Optronics. Thomas Müller, CEO of HENSOLDT, emphasised: "The new building will not only help us to better handle upcoming orders. It will also help us to better demonstrate the pride that we, as HENSOLDT employees, have in ourselves, our work and our service to the Federal Republic of Germany".
Admission to the MDAX
HENSOLDT celebrated the opening bell on the trading floor of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Almost three years after its successful IPO, the company was admitted to the MDAX on March 20. On April 13, the Executive Board had the honour of ringing the traditional bell at the stock exchange, and CEO Thomas Müller said: "The new chapter in the MDAX is synonymous with the new role and responsibility we now have in defence. The Zeitenwende has also arrived on the capital markets.”

HENSOLDT AG held its Annual General Meeting at the Haus der Bayerischen Wirtschaft in Munich. A total of 79.91% of the share capital was represented. The shareholders approved all items on the agenda.
HENSOLDT sponsors a student project at the Technical University of Munich
Especially in rural areas, there can be delays in the provision of first aid in medical emergencies. The "HORYZN" student project at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) aims to address this challenge. The team is developing eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) to solve logistical problems. HENSOLDT supports this initiative.
Ukrainian delegation visits HENSOLDT at the Paris Air Show
The Paris Air Show, held every two years at Le Bourget, is considered one of the most important aviation exhibitions in the world. HENSOLDT was among the participants. CEO Thomas Müller was particularly proud of the visit of the Ukrainian delegation, which he welcomed personally, in addition to many fruitful discussions with HENSOLDT's customers and partners.

State Secretary Dr. Patrick Rapp (second from left) from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg informed himself about the latest technologies and current projects of HENSOLDT during a visit to the Ulm site. He was particularly impressed by the production of the TRML‑4D high-performance radars, which contribute significantly to the defence of the Ukraine.
Visit of Parliamentarians at the company's headquarters in Taufkirchen
At the invitation of Stefan Hess (on the right), Head of Political Affairs at HENSOLDT, politicians from various parties, including Florian Hahn, Chairman of the Defence Policy Working Group, were given an overview of the company. Important procurement projects for the German Armed Forces as well as current and planned deliveries to Ukraine were the main topics of discussion. CEO Thomas Müller (second from left) welcomed the delegation and provided valuable insights.
HENSOLDT Award Ceremony
As part of the HENSOLDT Management Conference, the winners of the HENSOLDT Award 2023 were announced: The TRML‑4D team. The team enabled the timely delivery of the first TRML‑4D high performance radar to Ukraine, achieving the seemingly impossible through tremendous dedication, teamwork and cross-organisational collaboration. The radar was completed in record time for delivery to Ukraine.
Leadership Team Meeting
Once a year, the entire international leadership team of HENSOLDT gathers in Germany. Nearly 400 colleagues from all over the world participated in discussions, shared experiences and focused on the challenges of tomorrow and beyond. The unanimous opinion: HENSOLDT makes the difference for a safer future.
Strategy and Market Day
The new security situation resulting from the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine makes it clear: With its corporate strategy, HENSOLDT has set the right course for the future of defence electronics and has become a strategic partner for tomorrow's security challenges. At the annual Strategy and Market Day, HENSOLDT colleagues from the Strategy, Sales and Business Development departments as well as from the divisions shared insights and ideas.
Member of the German Bundestag Dr. Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann visits HENSOLDT
The Chairwoman of the Defence Committee of the German Bundestag, Dr. Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, visited the HENSOLDT site in Ulm. During her visit, she not only informed herself about HENSOLDT's capabilities, products and key technologies for the German Armed Forces and deliveries to Ukraine, but also talked to numerous apprentices, dual students and production workers at the site. Her conclusion: "You are doing something very meaningful and with your products you are protecting our democracy".
Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius in face-to-face talks with HENSOLDT works council members
The HENSOLDT Works Council members Heike Angermann, Project Manager in Customer Services, and Bernd Löhle, Deputy Works Council Chairman at the Taufkirchen site, had the opportunity for a direct exchange with the Minister of Defence, Boris Pistorius, during his visit to the IG Metall union hall in Munich. Bernd Löhle was particularly delighted by the fact that Boris Pistorius was "the first Minister of Defence ever to talk to employee representatives".
Ukrainian Ambassador visits HENSOLDT
Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, HENSOLDT technology has played a decisive role in defending the country and saving lives. This was the reason for the Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany, Oleksii Makeiev, to pay a personal visit to the HENSOLDT site in Ulm. During the visit, HENSOLDT presented its key technologies and discussed their potential to support Ukraine with the Ambassador.

The "General Staff and Admiral Staff Service National" (LGAN) course is considered the most demanding course at the Military Academy and prepares its graduates for the highest military careers. For this reason, 33 members of the military academy gladly took the opportunity to visit the HENSOLDT site in Ulm and were presented with the company's latest technological developments and solutions.
HENSOLDT awards the "Argus" prize
The Professors' Day is an important milestone in the collaboration between HENSOLDT and research institutes, universities and colleges. One of the highlights is the annual awarding of the "Argus" research prize for outstanding graduate theses in the fields of high-frequency and communications engineering, digital signal processing, optronics and cyber technology.
Vice President of the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) visits HENSOLDT
Ralph Herzog, who was recently elected as the new Vice President of the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw), visited the HENSOLDT site in Ulm to familiarise himself with the latest technologies and current projects. Celia Pelaz, Chief Strategy Officer of HENSOLDT, emphasised: "We have a common goal: to implement the Zeitenwende and equip our Bundeswehr with the systems it urgently needs to defend us and our allies and to uphold the rules-based world order we all believe in".

Lieutenant General Michael Vetter heads the Department of Cyber and Information Technology at the German Ministry of Defence. During his visit to HENSOLDT's site in Ulm, he learned about the company's diverse capabilities in the field of cybersecurity and gained insights into HENSOLDT's extensive product portfolio.
HENSOLDT hosts its third Capital Markets Day
The Capital Markets Day (CMD) has established itself as a fixed date in the annual calendar. As an important platform for the exchange with investors and analysts this year it took place in Ulm. The HENSOLDT management took the opportunity to give institutional investors and financial analysts a comprehensive insight into the company.
HENSOLDT acquires ESG GmbH
In December, HENSOLDT signed an agreement to acquire ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik GmbH. With the acquisition of ESG Group's highly complementary defence technology business, HENSOLDT adds leading design and system integration capabilities to its portfolio. On the evening of the signing, the Board of Directors celebrated this important step for the future of the company.

HENSOLDT combines strong innovation with an attractive, robust business model. The macroeconomic environment in 2023 was shaped by high inflation, volatility all across the economy, and disruption in global supply chains. Even in this challenging context, HENSOLDT maintained its successful growth trajectory. The company recorded significant growth in revenue and income along with high profitability.
